Iran’s Nov. crude exports to China up 24% yr/yr

TEHRAN (Basirat)- China’s November crude oil imports from Iran jumped 24.48 percent compared to the same period in 2015, IRNA reported citing Chinese customs administration.

According to the report, China imported 611,338 barrels per day (bpd) of Iranian crude oil in November to fix Iran’s place as the fourth biggest supplier of China’s oil.

During October Iran sent 777,000 barrels of its crude to China on a daily basis to register a 128 percent rise compared to the same month last year.

Meanwhile, imports from Iraq also rose 15.68 percent to 695,148 bpd; China shipped in 850,425 bpd of crude oil from Angola in the mentioned period.

China’s total crude oil imports in November rose by 18.3 percent year on year to stay at 7.87 million bpd.

China and Iran mapped out a wide-ranging 25-year plan to broaden relations and expand trade during the meeting of Chinese President Xi Jinping with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani in Tehran in January. 

The two sides discussed promoting bilateral relations of up to $600 billion over the next 10 years.
