Iran accuses UK of scuttling uranium deal
TEHRAN(Basirat):The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Ali Akbar Salehi, on Thursday accused Britain of torpedoing a deal for the purchase of yellowcake uranium.
Salehi told reporters that Iran had worked out a contract with the six
global powers involved in the nuclear deal (Russia, China, the United States,
Britain, France and Germany) for the purchase of 900 tons of yellowcake, but
that Britain backed out of the deal at the last moment. Salehi said the deal had
been approved at a meeting in Germany attended by former US Secretary of Energy
Ernest Moniz.
