Tehran worshippers protest against Trump's decision on Holy Quds

TEHRAN(Basirat): Iranian worshippers at Friday prayers carried out protests in the capital city of Tehran on Friday to denounce the decision of US President Donald Trump to shift American embassy to Al-Quds.

Protesters chanting "Down with America” and "Down with Israel' slogans indicated the fact that US acts not only have no effect on Holy Quds condition but it will make Palestinians and freedom-seekers in the world more united than ever.

At the end of the demonstration a statement was also read to condemn US sinister decision.

Meanwhile, protests against Trump sinister decision were held in other Iranian provinces.

US president's Wednesday announcement to recognize Beit-ul Moqaddas as the capital city of Israel has faced extensive criticisms all over the world even from US allies.

Trump's decision was also criticized widely by world leaders and diplomats even inside the US.

Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah strongly blasted the US President Donald Trump’s recognition of al-Quds (Jerusalem) as Israel’s capital as disrespect to all Muslims and violation of the international law.

Turkey’s foreign ministry on Wednesday condemned the US' decision as "irresponsible” and called on Washington to reconsider the move.

Egypt refused to accept Trump's decision, the foreign ministry said Wednesday, adding that his recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital did not change the city’s legal status.

The European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN) also voiced alarm at Trump’s decision and its repercussions for any chances of reviving Israeli-Palestinian peacemaking.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said there was no alternative to a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians and that Quds was a final-status issue that should be resolved through direct talks.
