Iran rejects ‘false’ reports on Iran-Israel indirect talks

TEHRAN(Basirat): Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi rejected “false” reports about Iran’s indirect talks with Israel in Jordan.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi rejected "false” reports about Iran’s indirect talks with Israel in Jordan, saying that generating such reports are aimed at distracting public opinion from the issue of Palestine.

Qassemi said the Islamic Republic does not fundamentally recognizes the "fake, terrorist, occupier regime of Israel”, adding that the purpose of such reports is very clear, IRNA reported.

A report on Saudi-owned news site Elaph claimed that Iran and Israel engaged in indirect negotiations this weekend over conflicts in southwest Syria, AFP reported.

Elaph claimed that Iran's ambassador to Jordan stayed in a hotel room with Iranian security personnel next door to a room of senior Israeli security officials, including the deputy head of Mossad.

Jordanian officials served as mediator, shuttling messages between the two rooms, the report claimed.
