Freedom of Speech Fallacy & the Emergence of the Ominous Phenomenon of Mass Media Dictatorship

Tehran (Basirat) :As we all know,  internet, particularly social media, is where so much of our public discourse is happening nowadays and is an easy way to access political figures.

Freedom of Speech Fallacy & the Emergence of the Ominous Phenomenon of Mass Media Dictatorship

The U.S. regime's plan to block social media accounts related to Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif as the head of the Iranian diplomatic apparatus in order to muffle his voice could bring up some questions:
1.Why is the U.S. regime running scared and trying to silence the voice of the voiceless?
2.Why does the U.S. regime advocate freedom of speech and information in other countries but silence critics on social media?
3.Why is the U.S. leveraging its influence politically to manipulate the media and social networks?
4.Why are the U.S. authorities trying to impose a new form of political and military dictatorship on global media and social networks?
5.Don't people have the right to hear views and thoughts different from those of the American regime?
6.Isn't the U.S. request to block Iranian foreign minister's social media accounts considered as an insult to freedom of speech and information?
7.Should not the media proprietors, social activists, and intellectuals stand against such tyranny and dictatorship?
This new form of Washington's non-diplomatic demarche based on censorship against the Iranian officials is not the first and certainly won't be the last, which merely indicates their total inability to pit diplomatic wits with the Islamic Republic of Iran. It will be no surprise to see such similar measures in the future by the authoritarian ominous triangle of the U.S., Israel, and Saudis if we don't react accordingly.
