TEHRAN (Basirat) : US Defense Secretary Jim Mattis resigned Thursday after clashing with President Trump over the withdrawal of US troops from Syria and Afghanistan, saying in a parting letter that the president deserves someone atop the Pentagon “better aligned” with his views.
