TEHRAN (Basirat) :Muntadhar al-Zaidi, the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at former president George W. Bush during a 2008 news conference, has been elected as a member of the Arab country’s parliament.

TEHRAN (Basirat) :The sixth edition of the Strawberry Festival was recently held in Golestan province in northeastern Iran, giving the farmers and their families an opportunity to celebrate their spring harvest and pray for a more fruitful year. Golestan province is the third largest producer of strawberry in Iran after Kurdistan and Mazandaran provinces.
