17 people on Saturday and raised the death toll among miners to 38 this
week after 21 people were killed as a result of a disaster in the
Chinese city of Qitaihe in the northeastern Heilongjiang province on
Tuesday, the Xinhua news agency said.
Last month, a total of 33 people were killed in a gas explosion in a
coal mine in China's Chongqing Region.
