"The Iranian nation is moving forward. These fireworks that happened today will
have no impact on the people’s resolve,” Leader said, pointing to Wednesday’s
twin terrorist attacks in the Iranian capital of Tehran.
Addressing a group of Iranian university students in Tehran, Imam Khamenei said
terrorists are too weak "to affect the will of the Iranian nation and that of
the officials.”
Ayatollah Khamenei further said had Iran not stood against the hotspot of
terrorism in the region, the country would have faced more severe problems,
expressing optimism that terrorists "God-willing will be destroyed."
The Wednesday terrorist attack on the Iranian Parliament finished after all four
gunmen were killed in confrontation with Iranian security forces.
In another attack on the same day, a group of terrorists opened fire at several
people in the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic
Republic, south of Tehran.
According to officials, 12 people have been martyred and 42 others were wounded
in the twin attacks.
