"All options are on the table to respond to any US violation of the landmark
nuclear agreement signed between Tehran and the 5+1 group of countries,” said
Salehi on Tuesday, during an interview with Al Mayadeen Arabic satellite
television channel.
He described Iran’s retaliation certain and imminent against US violation of
JCPOA, saying "Iran would definitely give a proportionate response to the
hostile move.”
Following the approval of JCPOA by the European Union, China, Russia and the
world governments, US withdrawal from the deal will never affect its
implementation, he noted.
The US must be held accountable for its violations of the JCPOA, Dr. Salehi
reiterated; "Iran has no responsibility for Americans’ negligence because the
International Atomic Energy Agency has reported seven times that Iran has always
adhered to its commitments and promises.”
He stressed that JCPOA is a historic agreement, the results of which will be
revealed over time.
Salehi also argued that the news about a dispute over the disagreements and
differences over JCPOA inside Iran and among Iranian officials is only a
political issue, and no more; nuclear activities are ongoing, enriching uranium,
producing heavy water and the extraction of uranium mines are uninterrupted and
new reactors are continuously designed in Arak facilities, in cooperation with
China.
"Iran's ties with Russia are growing every day; the two countries have joint
projects, including the establishment of two large new nuclear power plants in
Bushehr, and Tehran-Moscow relations are long-standing, deep and broadened in
the field of atomic energy,” he noted.
Salehi, rejecting Israeli regime’s claims over Iran’s nuclear program for
military purposes, said it is forbidden to use chemical and biological weapons
in Iran, as it is mentioned in the fatwa of the Leader of Islamic Revolution, as
well.
