
In a statement on Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi
expressed regret over the ‘heinous’ crime in which hundreds of civilians were
killed and wounded.
He also sympathized with the US nation and the relatives of victims of the
"inhumane crime,” according to the Foreign Ministry’s official website.
On Sunday night, retired accountant Stephen Paddock, 64, carried out the
deadliest mass shooting in the US history by opening fire on concertgoers in Las
Vegas.
Death toll from the attack reached 59 on Tuesday, while more than 500 have been
wounded.
