Iran hails Syrian army victories over terrorists
TEHRAN(Basirat): Senior Iranian lawmaker Alaeddin Boroujerdi praised, in a meeting on Wednesday with Syrian foreign minister, recent victories of the country's army and resistance forces over terrorist groups.
Chairman of Iran's Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign
Policy Commission met Walid al-Moallem in the Syrian capital, Damascus
and the two examined recent developments in the region and bilateral
relations.
Boroujerdi also stressed that Iran would continue its backing for the Syrian people.
The Iranian Member of Parliament, leading a delegation arrived in the Syrian capital on Tuesday evening.
The Iranian official is also expected to meet the newly-elected Speaker of the Syrian People's Assembly Hammoudeh al-Sabbagh, to convey to him the message of his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani.
