TEHRAN (Basirat): Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces' Quds Base Brigadier General Mohammad Marani announced that his forces have released an Iranian engineer who had been kidnapped in Sistan and Balouchestan province and transferred to Afghanistan.

"In an intelligence and operational measure, Quds Base forces have managed to free an engineer of Jahad Nasr company who was transferred by abductors to one of the border provinces of the neighboring country (of Afghanistan)," General Marani was quoted as saying by Tasnim news agency on Sunday.
He noted that the engineer was working in a project to supply water to the farms in Hamoun town in the Southeastern province of Sistan and Balochestan, adding that the abductors had contacted his family and demanded money.
General Marani said that the Iranian engineer was freed last Sunday after his father came to the Quds Base for help, and added that 5 individuals who have collaborated with the abductors have been identified and arrested in Iran.
