TEHRAN(Basirat): Iran's Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission is charged with following-up the case of the Jan 6 collision of the Iranian oil tanker (Sanchi) with a Chinese freighter which led to the tragic death of all 32 crews on board the Iranian ship, a senior lawmaker announced on Tuesday.

Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on Sunday instructed the security commission to ensure transparency over the issue of Sanchi collision in the East China coast, Massoud Pezeshkian, Parliament first vice-speaker said while responding to another parliamentarian who had asked for formation of a special committee to examine the issue, IRNA reported.

All members of Sanchi crew, including 30 Iranians and two Bangladeshi sailors, were tragically killed due to inhaling toxic gas and the huge fire which embraced the tanker since the outset of the tragic incident on January 6.

Pezeshkian called on the people not to pay attention to the rumors spread by certain media about the incident.
