Confusion over recent shooting in Saudi royal palace

TEHRAN (Basirat): A source inside the Saudi royal palace has rejected the Saudi government’s report on yesterday’s shooting, saying no toy drone was involved but there were a group of armed people attacking the palace with light weapons. Saudi state media reported yesterday that Saudi police shot down a toy drone flying over the royal palace amid heavy gunfire.

But a source inside the Saudi palace told Mehr news agency that the Saudi security forces were fighting a group of armed forces around the palace in the capital Riyadh, using rifles like AK 47 and Heckler & Koch G3.
Saudi activists on the social media also called into question the Saudi government’s story, saying that no toy drone was involved as there are no video footages showing the downing of the toy drone.
According to the Saudi media activists, there was no shooting taking place in the air and all the shooting was going on the ground.
They also say that the released video footages show that the shooting was taking place on the ground not in the air.
Meanwhile, a Saudi social media activist on Twitter has announced that a military vehicle armed with 50 caliber machine gun was involved in the shooting.
There are also reports that say both King Salman and the Crown Prince bin Salman escaped the scene under the auspices of special security forces and armored vehicles.
