Protests Erupt after Israel Lockdown on Palestinian Village in Ramallah

TEHRAN (Basirat): Clashes erupted between Palestinian and Israeli forces after a siege was imposed on the Palestinian village of Kobar in the central occupied West Bank district of Ramallah, early Friday morning.

After an Israeli army spokesperson announced that immediate action would take place in the Kobar village, home to Muhammad Tareq Youssef Abu Ayyush, a 17-year-old Palestinian who was killed by an Israeli settler following a stabbing attack in the illegal Israeli settlement of Adam, large numbers of Israeli forces, backed by two bulldozers, headed towards the village to seal off and raze roads.
Locals said that Israeli forces threatened to demolish the home of the Ayyush family as they raided, searched, took measures and set up marks around the house, Maan News reported.
Sources added that Israeli forces raided and thoroughly searched several homes in the village and detained three Palestinians identified as Nasrallah Youssef Mashaal, 17, and his brother Muhammad Mashaal, 21, and Khaldun Barghouthi, 42.
Violent clashes erupted between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces on the road leading up to the Kobar village afterwards, during which Israeli forces fired stun grenades and tear-gas bombs towards the youths.
Israeli soldiers assaulted and detained one youth during clashes; he was not immediately identified.
