In a statement on Friday, Hezbollah roundly condemned the Saudi-led coalitions’
heinous crime of massacring Yemeni people in Hudaydah, Al-Ahed news website
reported.
Denouncing the aerial attacks on Yemen’s hospitals as a sign of the moral
breakdown of the intruding coalition and its failure in the face of Yemeni
people’s resistance, the statement called on all advocates of human rights as
well as international organizations to condemn the attack and discredit the
lingering aggression on Yemen.
On Thursday, the Saudi-led coalition conducted airstrikes on Yemen’s western
port city of Hudaydah, killing at least 52 people and wounding 100 others.
The offensive took place close to the city's main public hospital, al-Thawra,
and near a popular fish market.
People of Yemen have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than
three years. Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have
been carrying out airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an
attempt to restore power to fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a
close ally of Riyadh.
Over 16,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their
lives in the deadly military campaign.
