The head of Iran Tea Organization, Habib Jahansaz announced
that Iran has exported 12.571 tonnes tea worth close to $18 million during the
current Iranian fiscal year (started March 21, 2018), an increase of 51%
compared to the last year.
"34 European and Asian countries including India, China, Canada, Spain, Germany,
Russia, France and Poland have imported Iranian tea,” Jahansaz said.
"Because of the great quality of Iranian tea, the exporting volume and value of
the product experienced a growth of 51 and 40 percent respectively,” he added.
"25.633 tonnes tea produced in Gilan and Mazandaran provinces this year, an
increase of 3% compared to the last year,” the head of Iran Tea Organization
stated.
