Iran ranks first in Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering in Middle East

According to the SJR index, Iran ranks first among Middle East countries in scientific documents published in the category of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering in 2017.

With 7100 and 4649 documents in the category of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering respectively, Iran ranks first and Saudi Arabia with 3153 documents comes after in Chemistry and in Chemical Engineering, Turkey ranks second with 1813 documents.

Iran also stands in 8th place in Chemical Engineering and 11th in Chemistry in SCImago’s world ranking.

The SCImago Journal & Country Rank is a publicly available portal that includes the journals and country scientific indicators developed from the information contained in the Scopus® database (Elsevier B.V.). These indicators can be used to assess and analyze scientific domains. Journals can be compared or analysed separately. Country rankings may also be compared or analysed separately. Journals can be grouped by subject area (27 major thematic areas), subject category (313 specific subject categories) or by country.
