Bashar Assad, senior assistant to Iran FM hold talks

Pointing to the attempts by the three guarantor states of Astana process regarding formation of the Syrian Constitutional Committee, Khaji congratulated the finalization of the committee to Syrian government and nation.

Giving some details about the 5th summit between Iran, Russia and Turkey’s heads of states within Astana framework in Ankara, he stressed on Iran’s determination to help resolving Syrian crisis by political means.

Bashar Assad, for his part, mentioned that Damascus is in coordination with Tehran and Moscow, adding, “Syrian Constitutional Committee was formed, despite all the disruptions made by the supporters of terrorism. It was a sign of our successful cooperation”.

Following the meeting, the senior assistant to Iranian foreign minister held talks with Syrian Foreign Minister, Walid Muallem and a number of high-ranking Syrian officials.

During the meetings, the two sides insisted on continuation of bilateral consultations to completely resolve Syrian crisis.
