Tehran (Basirat) : An Iranian entrepreneur has set up the largest Saffron industrial greenhouse in West Azerbaijan Province.
After three years of researching, studying and doing experimental work, the entrepreneur has entered the stage of the industrial harvest of Iran's precious Red Gold products.
The operator of the largest industrial Saffron greenhouse in Iran has been able to harvest four stages of Saffron.
"Saffron is exported to the Persian Gulf and European countries, but due to the quality and quantity of industrial saffron, the main customers of the product are Europeans, especially Germany," Loghman Koohestani said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press.
"We replaced traditional planting with modern planting method to increase harvest, preventing traditional planting vulnerability," he said, stating that Iran produces about 90 percent of the world's Saffron and now it is producing in 24 provinces.
