Terrorists suffered heavy casualties in the retaliatory missile attack by Iran’s
Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), says IRGC Lieutenant Commander Brigadier
General Rasoul Sanaei-Rad.
"The [Iranian] missiles raining down [on terrorist positions] sends a message to
terrorists that if they want to continue their wicked acts, they will receive a
tough slap in the face,” he said on Sunday.
The top general suggested that terrorists would not necessarily be targeted
inside Iran.
Given the kind of targets selected and the massing of Takfiri terrorists in the
targeted region, said the top commander, the terrorists are likely to have
suffered heavy casualties and lost a lot of logistical equipment.
In the meantime, he did not rule out the possibility of more retaliatory attacks
by the IRGC.
"Carrying out more attacks by the IRGC is subject to decisions made at the
Supreme National Security Council, the Command Headquarters of the
commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, and the IRGC, and depends on the kind of
situations that will unfold,” he noted.
