Larijani:

Saudis to get stuck in Nimr’s martyrdom

TEHRAN, Jan.02, (BASIRAT)- Following the martyrdom of a top Shia cleric in Saudi Arabia the speaker of Iran’s Parliament condemned the Saudi regime's move.

"The savage behavior of Saudi regime with Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr and 46 dissidents pressed the hearts of Muslims across the world," said Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani in Iranian southern city of Bushehr.

Larijani, who is visiting the southern province of Bushehr, made the remark after hearing the news of execution of 47 poeple in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

"Such measures have always sparked insecurity in the region, not just because a person has been killed but because of wrong policies of Saudis who have troubled the whole region in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen," maintained the top law-maker.

The Iranian official described the Saudi measure as blatant violation of human rights and urged the US and other western allies of the KSA to be active in reaction.

"It is the minimum to show honesty in dealing with human rights," called Larijani for Westerners’ condemnation of the executions.

He held that some of the regional problems of the Middle East are cooked by superpowers and their problematic policies, and warned that the current issues will endanger the whole Islamic world.(MNA) reported.
