Media reports said earlier that Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, the Saudi billionaire, has invested a large amount of money in Twitter.
According to the SEC filing, Prince Alwaleed held 30,100,000 shares of the company in 2015 while Kingdom Holding Company, his investment company of which he’s the chairman, held 4,850,000 shares.
He and his company originally invested $300 million in Twitter back in 2011 before it went public in 2013.
Also, according to Crowd Analyzer's State of Social Media 2018, Saudi Arabia is very active on Instagram, as it has the largest number of active users in the region. This also goes for Twitter and Snapchat.
